Concord October 19th 1869
Dear Miss Chandler, Shall I not have at least an hour or more of [underline] you [/underline] during your stay in Concord? At any rate, let me have a glance and a word. I have not much to show for my Summers'work, but shall be pleased to make the best report of my days to you. Yet [pagebreak]
You must not permit me, (from courtesy) to intrude upon your pleasures. Perhaps you will attend [underline] our Church [/underline] on Sunday tomorrow? That would be delightful, and very pious in you at least. Louisa postpones her European journey till Spring. I hope she will be in spirits to see you. Sketches,â[/underline], most of which are photographed, and are really very beautiful. They will make a tasteful Gift Book and [—————-] Concord has the artist. Come and see how you like them.
